World Book Day in P6/7📚
Primary 6/7 had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day! The classroom was full of creativity as the children came to school dressed as their favourite book characters.
As part of our activities, we explored the big question: Are books better than their film adaptations? The children took part in a Conscience Alley, sharing their thoughts and reasons on both sides of the debate. Some argued that books allow you to imagine the characters and settings in your own way, while others felt films bring the stories to life with visuals, music and action.
After hearing everyone’s ideas, the class reflected on the discussion and wrote about their own opinions, using the arguments they had heard to support their thinking.
A brilliant day celebrating reading, storytelling and the joy of books! 📖🌟
