WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK 19 - 23 MAY 2025

It is expected that the good weather will continue into next week as we mark Walk to School Week.

Pupils should gather outside Boyle’s Shop and the ‘Walking Train’ will leave at 9am.  Children will be accompanied by school staff.  Parents and carers are welcome to join us as we walk to school.  There is a theme for each Walk to School Day:

Monday 19 – SUPER SUN HATS – decorate your own hat, or have a crazy homemade hat, or wear as many sun hats as you can!

Tuesday 20 – BE BRIGHT BE SEEN – how colourful can you be? Dress code is reflective or fluorescent or gaudy!

Wednesday 21 - WACKY WIG DAY – Who will have the best wig? Or Gallons of Gel Day!  Who will have the most creatively gelled hairstyle? Prizes for creativity ……..

Thursday 22 – WALKING ON SUNSHINE – we will wear sunglasses and sun hats you can even bring a parasol as we conga down the Mayogall Road…….

Friday 23 – NOISY NIPPERS – bring your whistles, bells and rattles for a noisy walk (hope no-one was planning to have a lie-in)…..

During Walk to School Week, can we ask all drivers to be extra vigilant on the drive to school please? Please do not park in the bus lane or drop off on the zig-zag lines at the school gate and remember the 20mph speed limit at all school collection times.
