Primary 1 were super excited today to meet their new reading buddies from P7. Our older pupils showed wonderful kindness and patience, taking time to chat with the younger children and learn a bit about their new buddies before sharing a story together.
The P1’s enjoyed showing off the sounds and words they’ve been learning in class and the P7’s equally enjoyed encouraging and celebrating their progress.
This is an invaluable experience for all the children involved, building confidence, nurturing friendships and making memories they will never forget. Many of our past pupils who return to St. Brigid’s always talk about their fond memories of reading buddies in P1 and P7❤️📚.
