Erin’s Own Centenar - Filming day in St. Brigid’s

Today we welcomed Thomas Niblock and cameraman Tristan to St. Brigid’s as part of the Erin’s Own Centenary Celebrations. We were delighted to have so many of local community members, come to our school to be interviewed by the BBC Sports correspondent. It was so lovely to hear stories of what Lavey means to all those who live here. Sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to make this such a special day. As this was a professional filming session, not all children had the opportunity to be on camera but, “watch this space!” as ‘Day 2’ of our Lavey Centenary Celebrations is coming up soon!

Plans are afoot to have a child centred, family friendly (less professional, more home spun) filming day where we can capture the thoughts, feelings and opinions of ALL our classes. Today we learned a lot about how the media works. On our next Lavey Centenary Celebration, it’s going to be about the voice of all our children!
