COLLECTION OF HOME LEARNING PACKS

10th Feb 2021

Dear Parent,

The next home learning pack will be ready for collection on Friday 12th February between 09.30 and 12.30

All Primary 1, P 1/2 and P 2 packs should be collected from the staffroom window at the front of the school.

All Primary 3, 4 and 5 packs can be collected from Mrs Donaghy's classroom window at the front of the school.

All Primary 6, P6/7 and P 7 packs can be collected from Mrs Quinn's classroom window at the front of the school.

These packs contain 5 weeks of work.  No remote teaching or learning will take place during the week 15 - 19th February as this was our planned mid-term break.  Pupils should start their pack on Monday 22nd February - following instructions given online by their teacher on Seesaw or Google Classroom.  Currently, we hope to be back to face-to-face teaching on Monday 8th March, however, the additional 3 weeks work in each pack should not be done unless we remain in lockdown. These packs should be returned to school when we re-open and teachers will use those worksheets not covered by remote teaching, in class.

Please follow all social distancing rules, wear a face mask and do not bring children with you when collecting packs.

In order to prevent the spread of infection, no one is permitted to drive into the school grounds.

To date, 21 families (P1 - P4) have not returned their reading books as was requested by last Friday 5th or Monday 8th.  This represents a considerable loss to the school as some classes had 10 reading books in each child's pack.  These are expensive to replace and their loss has resulted in a severe shortage of reading books at the correct levels for all pupils.  We beg you to ensure that all school textbooks are returned to St Brigid's PS.  During lockdown some schools required parents to buy their child's reading books from the publishing company, we willingly sent out our books in the understanding that they would be cared for and returned.

We hope that you and your families have an enjoyable mid-term break.
