Well done to both our Girls’ Gaelic Teams who participated in the Castle Cup football tournament today.
In the junior competition, the girls were up against Tirkane, Swatragh, Kilrea, Glenview, and Dernaflaw. The girls battled hard and showed great determination, but unfortunately it wasn’t their day.
In the cup competition, the girls faced Glenview, Swatragh, Tirkane, Glen, Kilrea and Dungiven. The girls won 5/6 games, showing excellent teamwork and skill which took them confidently into the semi-final stages.
In the semi-final the girls put in fantastic performances all over the pitch and secured another win to see them through to the final.
Kilrea was up next, and despite a strong team effort, we were unfortunately defeated.
