Our girls headed off to Ballinascreen today to compete in the All County Camogie Championships.
In the group stages the girls were up against Bellaghy, Glenview, Glen and Swatragh. Some excellent games were played and with hard work and great skill the girls progressed to the quarter final stages of the cup competition.
The girls met Bellaghy again in the quarter final and secured another win to see them through to the semi final.
In the semi final the girls met a strong Kilrea team. The girls put in a fantastic performance and their hunger and determination paid off as they came out with another win.
The girls were delighted to be in the final, but they knew they had to keep their heads in the game. Every play in the game was vital and a very tough, tight game was had against Tirkane. After an intense 8 minutes the girls came out on top, and are now Division 1 All County Champions!
Miss Martin and all of St Brigid’s are so proud of the girls and their achievements. Well done girls👏🏆
