WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK!

WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK 16 – 20 MAY 2022  

Due to the inclement weather we will only start walking to school tomorrow Wednesday 18^th May. Despite continued wet weather being forecast:-

Wed: 16 degrees, 85% chance of rain

Thurs: 18 degrees, 32% chance of rain

Fri: 15 degrees, 97% chance of rain

We are going to take a chance on walking to school Wed 18^th  - Fri 20^th

Pupils should gather outside Boyle’s Shop and the ‘Walking Train’ will leave at 9am.  Children will be accompanied by school staff.  Parents and carers are welcome to join us as we walk to school.  There is a theme for each Walk to School Day:

Wednesday  - WACKY WIG DAY – Who will have the best wig? Or Gallons of Gel Day!  Who will have the most creatively gelled hairstyle? Prizes for creativity …..

Thursday – WALKING ON SUNSHINE – let’s try to pretend it’s summer, if the temperature is 18 degrees, we will wear sunglasses and sun hats you can even bring a parasol; as we conga down the Mayogall Road…….

Friday – NOISY NIPPERS – bring your whistles, bells and rattles for a noisy walk (hope no-one was planning to have a lie-in)…..

During Walk to School Week, can I ask all drivers to be extra vigilant on the drive to school please?
