We welcomed local MLA Emma Sheerin to our ASC as we aim to have this facility made permanent and have another ASC opened for older children (P5-P7). Emma proved to be very well informed about the challenges facing children with autism and their families. She is supportive of our aspiration to open ASC2 in September 🤞🏻
Emma was presented with flowers by the Chair of Governors, Mrs Brenda Henry, with fellow governor, Councillor Sean Mc Peake. The adults enjoyed visiting the sensory room and seeing the well equipped and resourced classroom, with the highly talented staff; Miss Faoiltiarna Burke, Susie Kuczogi and Megan Fleming. Everyone enjoyed the ‘Attention Autism’ lesson and could see how this benefits the children.
